Thanks for the heads-up, floater. I’ve kind of been dreading going over there lately, after I saw the spam hell that iBlog survivor’s forum had become. In this case, cleanup was actually pretty easy.

You like how I dropped the name Cricket LaFaux in there like of course everyone knows who that is? Like she was on the cover of Vanity Fair or something? Yeah, we’re not quite to that level yet…
The name is something of a give-away. I am reminded of a time when I was somewhere in Texas (possibly a barbecue joint in Houston) and I overheard one good ol’ boy telling another, “Yeah, I got my wife some gen-u-wine Fox Pearls for her birthday.”
Harvest of Fox pearls has been banned in most countries.
Hmm.. I just automatically assumed Miss LaFaux was a blood relative of Harlean Carpenter (who is a fiction).
I probably should have said “Cricket LaFaux (who is a fiction)” right off the bat, but while they live in the same land, She and Harlean are not blood relatives.
For anyone who might be interested, here are the results of a shoot Cricket and I did together about a month ago, the first since the mid-80′s. Not the shoot that resulted in the aftermath pictured above, but also photography by Jerry.
