It’s been a week since we made these lovely balls of yum, so I’m just going to let the pictures tell the story.
Looking lovely in the oven.
They bake quickly, so it’s important to keep the stones moving from station to station in a constant rotation. 44 Pfeffernüses per sheet.
We made rather a lot of them. It was a couple of days later when my sweetie applied the powdered sugar coating.
The best part: naturally we had to eat the ones that broke apart during powdered sugar application. It’s all about quality control, you know.
I’m getting hungry, and I’m in a restaurant now!
P.S. I don’t know if it’s just me, but the sweet-o-meter seems to be broken. I’m getting a 404 not found error floating in place of the usual little box.
I’ve been fiddling with some software to make the page load better, especially under high-load circumstances. Unfortunately, some parts of the page do not play well with the plugin. Turning off the plugin proved to be an adventure as well.
I’ve noticed the duck/Shatner poll is also not working right. I just get the spinning corn kernels, going on and on and on, and as far as I can tell, my vote is not being counted. This happens whether I’m on a high-speed connection or not, and it happens no matter what browser I’m using (currently experimenting with Chrome and like it so far).
I have the acceleration stuff turned off right now – I’m not sure what the deal is with the poll. I’ll be looking at a couple of blog issues over the next couple of days.
