Astronomy Picture of the Day is one of my favorite sites, but yesterday’s edition was even better than most. I’ve always wanted to see the aurora borealis, and I will, dammit, but now I also want to see the northern lights from space.
Can someone hook me up?
There is an awesome video comprised of stills taken from the space station..some really good footage of the lights…both north and south if I recall correctly.
Guess I should have followed the link first, got thrown by the ‘picture’ of the day bit!
Here’s a question for Sir Richard Branson: Will Virgin Galactic have night launches so passengers can see the Northern Lights?
