(Though now that I think about it, that's perfectly normal in these cartoons. Note to self...) The main gag here is that in every japanese cartoon, even serious and 'realistic' ones, the characters all run with their elbows sticking way out. Allison, just by running like a normal human being, is suddenly the fastest person at school. With a little training...I first wrote this episode some time ago, and when I went back to check it prior to posting I realized that I had made the last scene entirely too comprehensible. I obfuscated it a bit, but to be true to the form when the mysterious evil cabal discusses things they should be using nouns in ways they've never been used before. I put in Truth of the World, but things are still awfully clear. I will have to review Revolutionary Girl Utena for more tips on wacky and incomprehensible names and events - not to mention 'non-traditional' sexual relationships.

Much of this episode isn’t really important to the White Shadow story, but I thought it would be weird for her first gym class to come weeks after she transfers in.
